DAY 64*

Yesterday, I fell asleep aroud 8pm. I just felt really tired, I dint even know why ._.  ...and ended up waking up at 3:15 am with no intention of going back to sleep. I decided that I'm going to atempt catching the sunrise on top on Šmarna gora. The sunrise was scheduled for 5:15 in the morning, and I was out of the house by 3:55. I drove off to Tacen on  Soruru (my electric motorbike^^), because I wasn't sure about the condition my local path was in. I started walking at 4:10 and arrived at the top at 4:46. The view was just amazing. After 5 am other people were starting to show up. I ate my breakfast, took some pictures and waited.

The sunrise was accompanied by light drizzle and out of nowhere this amazing huge double rainbow appeared and stayed vivid and just breathtaking for about 30 min. The whole semi circle was visible (actually even more, probably about 200°), but it was all in all to big for my camera.

Anyway, when the sun hid behind the clouds and the rainbow disappeared, I decided to leave and get home before rain. I didn't make it. It started pouring while I was walking home but I wasn't quite drenched until I had to drive home on my motorbike.I couldn't have started my day any better^^

100HAPPYDAYS

I have stopped writing my blog and update my happy-days project in may. I just didn't have time to worry about this while dealing with school and making sure I get at least some sleep. Since then I have wanted to update the missed days, but I never actually had the willpower to do so and I don't think I ever will, I'm going to start posting again without bothering about the missed 2 months. I am disappointed...a bit, but I think that the only stupid thing I did was not post when I had time, because I wanted to first post things for the previous days....anyhow, it's summer now and I have a lot more time so look forward to more posts ^^

WALK ON IT

There is a channel on YouTube that I really love, and it's called The art assignment. Basically they get different interesting artists and interesting people in general, to set you a task, a challenge, an art assignment of sort. It is not always strictly traditional art - that's what I love about it, they are really creative and think outside of  the box. Anyway, I decided to take part in this challenge.

Always,I decided to shake thing up a bit and do something slightly different. I painted a square piece of plywood with acrylic colors and combined it with pieces of newspaper and old school assignments to make a collage. In the end sing pieces of wood, I stamped on the date of my project.
Instead of walking on the board itself, I decided to cut it in  appropriate pieces, sew then to the soles of my shoes and actually walk on them for a day. This way, I was able to see the change, that my day made on the surface of the painting and compare it to the intact plywood piece left at home.
I used an old pair of flats and some fishing line to secure the new soles.

Throughout the day, the fishing line in the front of the left shoe tore form me stepping on it so i had to re-sew the sole on multiple times. I also gout could in a small summer storm, hence the dilapidated wood. Strangely enough the shoes were not weird to walk in. The only noticeable thing was the sound they made when walking. This is the end result.
